The 21st Key Tradition
21 is the age that a person in New Zealand is classed as an adult, and the giving of the 21st key is a strong New Zealand tradition to symbolize opening the door of maturity and becoming an adult. Alternatively, the giving of a key is a symbol of the limitless doors they can open in their life.
The key is crafted from recycled Native New Zealand Rimu veneerboard, medium density fibreboard (mdf), Gaboon veneer plywood and embellished with NZ Paua shell.

We normally ship within 5 working days from placement of order. Couriers can take a further 1-2 days for North Island delivery, 1-3 days for South Island and rural is up to 5 days. - In Maori culture the Pikorua represents the enduring connection between people and cultures. Its design derives from the piko piko fern whose fronds curl around and envelope one another.

The shape has no beginning or end and symbolises the two life paths that may move apart for a while but always come back together again. The double and triple twist forms represent the relationship between different peoples, cultures and whanau (family).

The most beautiful 21st key 🔑 ❤️
Wow 🤩 My whole whānau is blown away by how beautifully designed this key is. We love the pikorua twist, what it represents and the way the paua is incorporated into the wood gives a beautiful touch.
Having the permanent marker added to the back makes it so easy to begin to get it signed. The chain to hang the key is a bonus :-) . Thank you so much Aeon Giftware - we will definitely be back to shop here.

Ordering process was so easy and the following communications were timely, helpful and friendly.
It was a shame after all the effort Aeon went to to get the purchase freighted quickly that there were delays in the couriers delivery process.
I guess at the end of the day, I should've ordered earlier.
