The 21st Key Tradition
21 is the age that a person in New Zealand is classed as an adult, and the giving of the 21st key is a strong New Zealand tradition to symbolize opening the door of maturity and becoming an adult. Alternatively, the giving of a key is a symbol of the limitless doors they can open in their life.
This is a contemporary artwork displaying many common Polynesian designs and artwork styles with intricate design and embellished with Mother of Pearl and Paua shell. The Polynesian 21st Celebration Key is crafted from recycled Native New Zealand Rimu veneerboard, medium density fibreboard (mdf) and Gaboon veneer plywood.
Shipping
We normally ship within 5 working days from placement of order. Couriers can take a further 1-2 days for North Island delivery, 1-3 days for South Island and rural is up to 5 days. I received my order very quickly and efficiently. I really admire the way you guys do things to receive my final approval on how I want the key to look and what I want written on the key. When unwrapping the parcel, I was nervous and excited at the same time to finally see my daughters key. I was in absolute awe that it was so distinctive and yet so simple. I absolutely love it! Fantastic craftmanship
